1. Whether you’re filing your nails or applying a top coat, always start with your thumb, follow with your pinkie, then work your way inwards.
2. Put your varnish on with your weak hand to make sure that you finish painting before you begin to tire and things turn sloppy.
3. Dab a little oil on each wet, painted nail while you wait for them to dry. This helps to stop smudging if you brush against something.
4. Don’t forget that nails can take up to two hours to dry completely – then you can get on with the washing-up!

To begin with remove all traces of your nail polish. Use as many cotton balls as needed.Use a nail file or an emery board to shape your nails. File in one direction only. Do not use the seesaw motion. To shorten the nail, use the course side of the emery board first and finish with the finely textured side.

Try to do your own French manicures at home for special occasions or anytime you like.To maintain the health of your cuticles use a good cuticle cream to remove the dead skin.
